Hermes Steinkraus close contact saddle
2 of 2 found this helpful I love how this saddle fits my pony. I have an Icelandic horse and the saddle lays on his back like it was custom made. I love how the design of the saddle helps me to keep my legs in the correct position. Also, the seat is firm (not hard) but quite comfortable. The leather is so supple--it makes it much easier to tighten the girth. My only complaint (which is not the fault of the saddle) is that the twist is just a bit too wide for me. I suspect the saddle is around 20 yo, and it is in wonderful condition. The saddle is one of the best brands out there--so happy I pushed that computer key - send offer :-). Saves my knees!
I love these stirrups. They really keep my knees from getting so sore and stiff especially on long hacks. I also like that they are weighted. Much easier to get your foot into while riding.
