Chinese copy. The photo is NOT what you will receive. NO brass ends either.
Works, but doesn't resemble what you will receive. You will receive a Sunsong Chinese part. That's common now, but it doesn't make it right. We're restoring an '89 Iroc Z so I hope it holds up.
The spring clip at the end that connects to the metal brake line from the front of the car is NOT spring steel, so it you take it off it will retain the new shape because it's just cheap metal. If you reinstall it, you will have to squeeze it back together with pliers or it will fall back off. I may take the clip down to the hardware store to buy something that's correct. I shouldn't have to do that.
Also, don't be deceived by the yellow color of the fittings in the pictures. Not brass, just base metal so I'll use POR-15 or equal on it.

Good little tool to have around your HAM shack or electronics workbench
1 of 1 found this helpful This arrived in perfect condition with spare cables and everything shown.I will be featuring a section titled "Fun things you can do with a cheap arbitrary waveform generator on my web page soon. But here are some quick observations:
1. It WILL do "Home Run" sweeps (full bandwidth) at speeds as fast as 0.01S. That sweep speed won't compete with laboratory-grade equipment, but it will let you test filters, align HAM gear, etc. As I write this, I'm finding out some interesting things about some filters I designed and built awhile back.
2. Expanding on item 1, if you have an elliptical filter with one or more peaks, and you don't have a Spectrum Analyzer in your shack, you can use this gadget to find out where your peaks are. It's super easy to change the sweep start and/or end range until the peak in your filter waveform is split in two, which is the center frequency of the peak.
3. The menu system is common-sense. I figured out most of the functions without the manual.
4. One of the advertising points of this unit is its ability to serve as a Frequency counter, but it falls well short of my expectations there. It's very insensitive, requiring a signal level of 1.5V before it will even register. And despite the fact that the manual says the MAX input is 20V, my unit says 5V. Even with a whip antenna connected, it can't read the frequency that I'm tuning up on with any of my transceivers. By contrast, my Elenco F-1300 displays my transmit frequency instantly with or without an antenna connected.
5. It WILL let you perform MANY of the alignments required for HAM radio transceivers.
6. All functions work as stated, and it serves as both a standard signal generator as
well as a sweeper. And it can generate White Noise. My HQ-170 alignment requires a white noise generator to align the tank coils for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd IF stages.
7. It's pretty stable. The stated output voltage doesn't always agree with my TDS360 scope, but they are very close.
The little white knob is a pain to turn if you have dry hands. I may have to improve that.

Pretty much the standard for these pedal loopers
3 of 3 found this helpful I bought this for my son for Christmas. He plays guitar 2-3 hours per day, and he loves it. It can record 3 hours total time of tracks, and it has "jam tracks" from 90-99, including some very cool jazz and blues backing tracks. I may have to buy one of these for myself.
The sound quality of the recordings is very good also. The sound is just like what you fed into it. Plus, it has a USB port so you can save your loops/tracks to a computer.
Add to that a rugged build quality and you have a worthwhile product!
