Edith Piaf - A Passion Life Kutur DVD
Great remastered audio but video a bit fuzzy even considering footage vintage and probable standards conversion(s).
Likes;
1960s scenes well presented. Edith's stage gestures, especially her hands and motions extremely well detailed. Her funeral details were pictured and presented properly.
Dislikes;
Complete absence of 1950s and earlier film footage documenting her earlier years. Total lack of documentation about the early part of her life (LP cover notes and booklets provide decent clips of it.). No presentation of her fantastic "The Three Bells" or "Autumn Leaves numbers.
I give this DVD Good rating worthy of adding to one's library to supplement Edith Piaf's audio recordings.
