Value in the secondary market
This camera has been out for a few years but still performs well. I use it mainly for video and the lower MP allows for better low light shooting. I've had no issues with creating nice photos as well. If you are using it strictly for photography you'll probably want something else. It's a good value as you can find it in the secondary market for much less than the Sony list price - still on their website for $2000.
