good product/crappy manual and instructions
once installed the product worked just fine as advertised. I have a deckhand 40 as well as this deckhand 25. Both products of minn kota. When I installed the deckhand 40 the instructions were excellent. It needed 9 inches of space in order to clear the boat without damage. the deckhand 25 only states to mount it so that it does not hit the boat. Calling minn kota tech support was no help on this issue either. I guess if your going to spend between $250 and $400 for an electric anchor system, the instructions should be spot on.
