Doc Martin: Series 5 - DVD By Martin Clunes,Caroline Catz - VERY GOOD

Great talent, put on the shelf

I loved Martin Clunes in "Reggie Perrin" and was looking forward to a bit more of his humor, albiet this is a drama, but man, the thing is really devoid. They have Clunes cast as this endlessly sour curmudgeon who can't get a smile out to save his life, at anything. I started in the middle with Series 5 but I can't imagine he was much different earlier or later than that. Too bad guys! You lost a chance to make it light.

overall greate, excepting remote control

So far this is a great little projector, the 130 lumens is plenty bright, crystal clear at about 8ft (longest distance I've tried it so far). It looks like you have to be careful to completely shut off and/or remove any USB sticks you might be playing if you switch to an HDMI feed, there seems to be some interference between the two if USB was running already (flickering). Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the little rinky remote control they send with it is just lame and I told AAXA so. For the quality of the projector, they should have upped the quality of the remote, it's just hard to run the thing with that kind of an interface. But if you can tolerate that then you will like it a lot all round.

Acer Aspire ES1-531-C3X2 15.6" 1.6 GHz, 4 GB Ram, 500 Gb HD - DON'T!

After having used this ES1-531-C3X2 laptop for about two years I can say that you SHOULDN'T buy one! Even with 4gig of ram the 1.6ghz processor is to slow for the kind of routine graphics stuff people routinely have to deal with. It is just a dog, even after I had a solid-state drive put in it. Other specifics: - has started routinely locking up (i.e. freezing and needing total hard boot) when using any word processing program like Libre Office or even Word - just had to pay 90 bucks to get the stupid power switch fixed because they design the thing with a little plastic arm under it that the button can slide off of, really bad design Spend a little more dough and get at least a 5si processor. The light weight is about the best thing I can say about this, sorry.
