About
I collect and repair/sell older HAM and CB radio equipment. I have a large stock of parts and am slowly using them up. I am about 98% successful in getting the older gear operational. I am always looking for gear and buyers.

Wonderful product
2 of 2 found this helpful I purchased this for using as a vertical antenna when traveling in my Motorhome. Combined with my auto tuner, a ground screw for support and a piece of wire I can use any band I want. It is very small and I can actually carry it in luggage when I travel.
It won't hold a lot of weight if fully extended. AND it isn't for a permanent installation. But for weekends and traveling, it's perfect.

Small and easy to install.
1 of 1 found this helpful I ordered this 3 days ago, and true to their word, it arrived 3 days after! I purchased this unit to replace my old one that was becoming problematic. It had been used for 20 years, and put out enough heat for my 36 foot RV to keep me warm in winter, even when the wind was blowing and the temp was -30. The installation was easy. The original installation had a straight gas fitting on it which made things difficult when it came to removing the old furnace. The new one came with a 90 fitting which made the installation a snap as I didn't have to fight to get the line connected. I had to replace the short gas line to do this, but that made sense in my situation.
The original installer went cheap and did not supply support for the rear of the furnace, which caused it to vibrate somewhat and was very noisy. Make sure that you support your furnace well. I also got some 1/2" thick weather stripping for the furnace to sit on. After doing this, you can't even hear the furnace running, whereas before it could be heard very easily.
If there is a weak point, I would have to say that it is the motor. I had to replace mine once. I kept the old one and replaced the shot brass bearings with sealed ball bearings. That motor is now silent. I'll keep the old furnace as an emergency spare!

Makes a nice, neat electrical distribution centre for vehicle add on devices.
I ordered these for use in commercial vehicles to power their radio equipment. This item really helps in making a clean installation, the LEDs for showing an open fuse are wonderful, and the simplicity of installation goes a long way to making the complete installation quick and simple. Typically, I use these to power 25W trunking radios (2 circuits needed), a mobile repeater (1 circuit needed), Satellite link (1 circuit needed), cellular phone (1 circuit needed), and other various devices as required by the customer. What used to be a mess of wire and individual inline fuse holders have now been replaced by one of these. An added bonus is that with one look, you can tell if a fuse has blown!
