Take your time learning how little adjustments will get the right sounds.
A bit of a learning curve, but patience will pay off in the long run. Tiny incremental adjustments can give you just the sound you may be looking for.

dream guitar
Having worked for Gretsch some years ago, I have been concerned about the Fender acquisition, but I played one of these in a local music store before I bought this one. It is exactly as described by the seller and looks and plays as good as any that I worked on during my years with Fred. Fit and finish are excellent; everything works perfectly and is a fine addition to my collection. I am glad I bought it.

Nice tight fit
Good enough to do what I wanted to use it for. The battery carrier fits tightly into the chamber (maybe a little too tight initially, but working the clip a bit will probably loosen it up). Since it is cast plastic, it's not unusual for very tiny differences between the two interconnecting parts to fit a little less than perfectly. It does hold the battery securely and has a nice finish, so it's a good value for the price.
