This Album is Mr. Maurice White's last Masterpiece production for Earth Wind & Fire.
"Millennium" might just be the Last Great E.W. F Album with the Late Great Maurice White before his passing. Also, it also marked the return of the Great Arranger/Composer Tom Washington AKA Tom Tom 84 -- working with the group again. Paul Klingberg's recording was just as good as that of the legendary George Massenberg - responsible for the group's past masterpieces. "Millennium" is simply Brilliant, and if you are a True Earth, Wind and Fire "Connoisseur" or fan, you definitely will not be disappointed.

IT'S STILL NILE RODGERS!
NILE RODGERS & CHIC IS AN AMERICAN GROUP WITH AN BRTISH/EUROPEAN AESTHETIC. THEREFORE, THE TILE SHOULD BE IN EITHER FRENCH OR JAPANESE. (HAVE YOU SEEN AN ABBA ALBUM WITH SWEDISH TITLE? - A PERSONAL GRIP.) HOWEVER,"IT'S ABOUT TIME" IS STILL A GOOD ALBUM.
YES! IT'S NOT UP TO THE POWER OF "C'EST CHIC" OR "RISQUE." BUT THERE ARE STAND OUTS. "TILL THE WORLD FALLS," & SODER" - BOTH VERSIONS -- ONE WITH THE KING OF THE NEW JACK SWING, TERRY RILEY ARE SIMPLY SUPERB. BUT FOR THE OLDER/JAZZ ORIENTATED AUDIENCE, "STATE OF MIND" IS PURE CLASSIC WITH THE GREAT PHILIP SAISSE.
ONE MUST ALWAYS REMEBER THAT IT IS STILL NILE RODGERS, ONE OF THE GREATEST MASTROS IN MUSIC, AND WHATEVER HE DOES, THERE WILL BE ALWAYS ELEGANCE, AND QUALITY IN IT.

GREAT FIRST SOLO ALBUM
If you like the way Quincy Jones' production, then James Ingram's “It’s Your Night,” his first solo effort is for you. As some may remember, Mr. Ingram had won a Grammy for "Just Once" on Mr. Jones' great work, "The Dude."
Mr. Ingram is simply on top of his game on this Album. His interpretation of the songs is flawless. He seems to feel very once of emotion on "No Easy Way," She Loves Me" & "Whatever We Imagine." His duets with Michael McDonald from the Doobie Brothers “Yah Mo Be There” and Ms. Patty Austin “How Do You Keep The Love” are sublime.
The same tradition of great songs, great musicianship with smooth, silky production from Mr. Jones continues on this Album. Songs written & arranged by the usual suspects like Rod Temperton, Barry Mann, Cynthia Weil & David Foster all grace this work. If there is one weak spot, it might be “Party Animal.” The song feels like it belongs to another Album.
Like another great Quincy Jones' production, Patti Austin’s “Every Home Should Have one,” James Ingram's “It’s Your Night” never got the accolades it deserved. They seem like minor productions from Mr. Jones coming after the incredible success of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.”
However, this is one superb Album that would grow on you and you would not regret having; for the songs will stay with you for a very long time!
