Godd replacement, but short.
This recoils starter installs easily and works ok, BUT the cord is too short to extend the pull handle up to the mower controls position. So You have to hold the blade brake handle with one hand while pulling the start cord with the other while being alongside the mower instead of behind it.

Craftsman mulching cover, NOT John Deere
1 of 1 found this helpful Although listed as a John Deere Mulching Cover, it was a Craftsman cover instead. Doesn't fit properly on John Deere deck. Price was reasonable, so I decided to keep it. Picture has delivered cover on left, an actual John Deere cover on the right.

Excellent replacement
This was a used cable that fit perfectly and only required some internal lubrication to work as smoothly as a new one.
