Love that it's Made in America
They don't make them any better than Stanley. You hear that name and you automatically know there's quality in the making.

Excellent item! A fun family movie worth purchasing!
I couldn't find this anywhere, yet it's a movie I've enjoyed. Dabney Coleman plays a duel role as work-weary father to Henry Thomas' character and as his ready upon demand super-hero imaginary side-kick. Things get a bit hairy, though, when the kid gets involved in an espionage caper and tries to uncover clues he found hidden in a video game he was handed.... and suddenly his own life is in danger. When his super-hero side-kick falters after sacrificing himself to save the kid, his father steps up and shows himself to be a real-life super-hero his son was hoping for.
A great family film.

Typical Gregory Peck - A Classic
No actor had the class and talent that Gregory Peck had. He was always my favorite.... well.... I'd better say ONE of my favorites, because there were many actors of the time period that I loved. Acting back in the 40's (this movie was 1949) was remarkable, because the actors seemed somehow more purist in nature. There was no pretense or fabrication like there is today in films. Pay scale was alot different then too, which made the acting more genuine and real. Darryl Zanuck was a top-notch film producer and all of his films are well-recognized and highly praised. This film is no different. It won two academy awards: Best Supporting Actor - Dean Jagger and Best Sound Recording. Run time is 2 hours and 12 minutes.
