Not Perfect But A Great Value
1 of 1 found this helpful Very acceptable quality and fit though not quite as good as Acerbis. The refitting of the radiator shrouds was ok but not perfect though entirely acceptable for a dual sport or dirt bike. Also, its still better looking than the 5.3 gallon tanks.
Installation directions were good and the whole thing took less than an hour. There is no binding of wires, forks or triple clamp due to the larger size. The stock gas lines were reused and adequate in length.
I have not run a full tank of gas through it yet but I fully expect to get at least 160 miles. The additional size was undetectable while riding.

Review of Vapor for DRZ400e
1 of 1 found this helpful After the death of the speedo drive on my sons '05 DRZ400e we decided to replace the whole system with the Vapor as the drive was about 2/3rds the cost of the Vapor. Before the Vapor came we watched a few Youtube videos on the installation and that turned out to be a good idea. The directions are good but not great. The combination of the videos and the supplied instructions made it easy.
As some reviews have noted, the dash mount is not too confidence inspiring but in the end goes on well and seems to hold the dash firmly. The option for oversize bars was a relief.
We installed the wheel speed sensor first as that was the most time consuming. The tach induction wire went on easily and worked well with the recommended 5 turns. The water temp sensor went in fine though the clearance with our large capacity tank was close. We put a rubber bumper around the sensor and led the wire out the side of the bumper to eliminate the possibility of the tank bumping down and shearing the sensor wire. Once on the Vapor operated as advertised and is easy to use/read while riding. All tolled, a bargain for the price.

Even At Twice The Price
No, its not leather, but that's ok. It is made of a good quality cordura type material with tidy stitching and reinforcement at strain points. The quality is very good for the price and would be acceptable at twice the price. What sets this tool roll apart is the design and its carrying capacity. The combination of two rows of tool pockets plus the individual socket pockets allows this thing to swallow a lot of tools. I basically eliminated a big heavy canvas brief case worth of tools and replaced it with a 6"x 12" roll. The bonus is that I can actually see what I have and find what I need the moment the thing is unrolled. No more rummaging at the bottom of a dark bag for that 10mm socket. The straps and fastex buckles do a good job of cinching the roll and keeping it closed. The socket pockets worked well for me for the range of sockets I wanted to carry. They are a decent compromise between being deep enough to carry deep well sockets (without flap velcroed) but not so deep as to loose a standard socket in the bottom. No downsides that have become evident in a couple weeks of use.
