Smooth Drag with big fish!
4 of 5 found this helpful On first examination I found this reel to feel tight and solid and light weight. I paired it with a medium weight 6' rod with 50lb test braided line. It casted well and felt good on retrieve so I took it to the Gulf Coast for it's first fishing trip. I used it with a popping cork with DOA shrimp for large red drum. I was fishing from my kayak and need a reel that is dependable and stable.
I caught many fish with this reel including a large bull red approximately 25 inches . The drag was very smooth and easily adjusted. The retrieve was fast and worked well with the braided line. I used this reel the whole week and did not experience fatigue from reel weight. I recommend this reel for fishing many situations.
