I'm a doll collector. So what's with the name? I am also an environmentalist. In 1997 a group of botanists and native plant enthusiaists started an organization named the Finger Lakes Native Plant Society in Ithaca, NY. I'm one of the enthusiasts. The White Oak tree is one of the most important plants for nurturing both birds and insects, because more insects lay their eggs on its leaves than any other tree. Most baby birds require copious amounts of soft catterpillars to eat. Also, the tree offers shade to cool the Earth, plentiful places for birds to nest and crops of acorns to feed lots of large birds and mammals. The beginning of FLNPS approximately coincided with when I discovered that I could buy dolls on eBay. I have greatly enjoyed learning about dolls and buying ever older dolls for my collection. Good for the price
I bought these for my grandson. Green is his favorite color. They are pretty good quality and I expect will wear well. The only problem is the closure needs more room. It will work if you pull it really tight, but could be more generous.
