Calling all Technicians and electronic enthusiasts!
If you are perhaps a beginner electronic kit builder, repair technician, pcb assembly, diagnostic technician, circuit board testing and repair, or perhaps a seasoned engineer (as I am of 50+ years)l - You MUST have AT LEAST one of these devices. Have you ever tried to unsolder a component from a PCB using Solder Wick (TM) or other wicking type braid, or perhaps a hand vacuum pump, or even a motorized vacuum de-soldering station without the support of a PCB holder? I have and it usually results in utter frustration! How many times have you tried using both hands with a DVM or scope probes to take some measurements of components on a board without any support of the board? (this only results in not much more than pissing me off). I have been using a PCB circuit board vise manufactured by Panavise (TM) which I purchased from Mouser Electronics at a price of $80.63. This adjustable circuit board holder from Aven certainly beats the dickens out of the Panavise(TM) PCB vise - HANDS DOWN! I am ordering several more of these Aven PCB holders right now for my shop, in my car, and on my home bench, and another as a spare - simply because I can't imagine not having one where ever I may find myself repairing, testing, or building (stuffing) printed circuit boards. I find this device well built, amazingly supportive, and of sturdy construction. I highly recommend this device to others!
