Poorly packaged.
Our shelf arrived damaged. It was boxed unprotected in a soft cardboard box. One of the slides was broken loose from the shelf and the shelf was bent out of shape. The company offered a free replacement. I would have to send the damaged one back and wait for the replacement. The shelf was bought as a gift and I really didn't want to wait for a replacement. I opted to take the shelf to a machine shop for repair. Two broken bolts needed to be extracted and replaced and the shelf needed to be bent back into shape. I talked to a company representative about compensation for the repair. She said she thought something could be worked out. I have made one phone call and followed it up with one email that included photos of the damage. Its been a couple weeks now and I have heard nothing from the company. We love the shelf, not the company we purchased from so much.
