Classic 70's rock at its best!
One of the best live albums from a time of awesome live albums! Head East was a band of amazing musicians and vocalists that almost hit "the big time". This album was recorded all live without overdubs as far as I can tell. The audio quality and the musicianship are absolutely incredible for a live album. The energy the band put out on this recording is hard to beat!

Awesome CD at a great price!
I finally found this CD again on eBay. That's one of the things I love so much about eBay. I have been able to find CD's that are out of print, as well as a lot of great classic rock memorabilia. This CD is one of those that is hard to find. This is the album, way back when (and before he hit it really big with "American Fool") that got me "hooked" on John Cougar (not yet Mellencamp). At first listen I could tell this guy was a "small towner" like me. I immediately identified with all of the songs on the record. The production is commercialized (before Mr. Mellencamp was able to break away from record company producers) but his raw attitude and wit is in every song.
Most Mellencamp (or Cougar) albums are available on iTunes. This is the ONE that was not (at least not in the U.S.). Great album at a great price! Check it out!
