Not a substitute for 12490801
This is NOT a substitute part for a 12490801 Whirlpool ice maker water valve. Neither the mounting bracket nor the adapter plate included can be configured to actually mount the valve. The bracket from the original valve cannot me substituted - the body configuration has been changed. The best you can do is used the internal part to rebuild the original valve. The description should make that clear!

Good Project Case
4 of 4 found this helpful Case quality is excellent. Steel sheet metal is at adequately heavy guage. Appearance of the finished project is outstanding. Only short coming were the screws holding the front and back panels. The screws are too short or small or both and strip easily. But they can be easily replaced.
