Gates 38119 Belt Tensioner Assembly

Made in China

This belt tensioner is different than the original and allegedly improved. Seems to work fine. I was very disappointed to see it was manufactured in China. Other Gates items are made in Canada and are pretty good quality. Time will tell if this wears prematurely like so many Chinese aftermarket parts do.

Pilot protective glasses

These seem to block green and blue lasers quite well. I’ve tried them while flying at night and they let enough light in to see but do very well at blocking lasers from people on the ground illegally shining their lasers at aircraft.
