Not too good a door sweep anymore
Wish you had a "maybe" option. My Stanley front door requires this particular version of a door sweep. Four or five years ago when I last replaced it, the process was easy, with the sweep fitting and holding in the door grooves. But this new sweep, possibly because of the way it was packaged, tended to bow a bit, so as I tried to put it into the slots, the part I had already installed kept pulling out.
The end result, after I had hammered nails in to hold it in place, was a tight fit that made the door really difficult to open. After a few weeks, the opening of the door is easier, but still requires a firm pull of the door. One benefit may be that the bottom is truly air-tight, and will prevent loss of heating or cooling, but that remains to be seen.
Once this sweep deteriorates, I will not order another one; I will get a new front door.
