One of the best speakers in the 5-1/4" size range, solid build quality and performance, quite a lot for the money
Surprising full-range response for a 5-1/4" 2-way speaker! It's a touch smaller in mounting than some competitors, and the basket may be smaller. I use duct seal in automotive applications to improve the baffle contact. Remember, you want a good seal along the edges if installing in a car door, since the door itself has to act as an isobaric chamber, despite holes all over the place. There is a red wire running to the negative terminal and a black wire running to the positive terminal, which may be a bit confusing, but just follow the markings on the terminals to guarantee proper phase with other speakers. Treble response and coverage from the central tweeter is good, but car door speakers tend to be poorly positioned for treble, so consider adding a discrete pair of tweeters. Power handling is also excellent with minimal distortion! These are priced above the "budget" price range, but they're still very inexpensive, and they continue to uphold Rockford Fosgate's reputation for quality.

Misses camera, disrupts proximity sensor
It covers the screen, and it's simple to apply. However, it's hard to align it in such a way that the top doesn't stick up off of the phone, and it also misses the camera. Furthermore, it disrupts the proximity sensor, which causes a big problem with the dialer screen; after a call, the screen immediately goes black. While this isn't a big deal in making and receiving regular voice calls, it makes the buttons unusable during the call. Dialing a number for a menu system becomes impossible. I have a new Zenfone 2 ZE551ML with no other accessories. Unfortunately, I've had to remove this item from my phone after just a day of use.

With these in my rear deck lid and an independent amplifier, it's hard to tell I don't have a subwoofer.
I did a lot of research for my old 1985 Chrysler New Yorker for the best options for audio, and I settled on these Infinity speakers. They come with basically no accessories, but the speakers themselves are the very best 5x7's I have ever used. Fs, Xmax, and Pe are pushing the limits for the small 5x7 footprint. Trunk deck speakers usually benefit from very high efficiency speakers with smooth low frequency response, which these reproduce very well down to into the double digit frequencies, and they stay clean well into their rated wattage. Mounting was simple, and despite the raised tweeter, they fit neatly behind the car's original cosmetics. The tweeter is very solidly mounted and includes an attenuation button for quick adjustment of the treble. They're also angled, offering flexibility for focusing the highs. They're not clockable, but that's probably a good thing, since it's less likely to become loose and create rattling. The basket is very rigid. The terminals are standard, and the kit doesn't include pigtails.
