Great Book For Dog Lovers..
I actually bought this book as a gift for my sister. I had bought a copy originally for myself because of the dog on the front cover! A Newfoundland! I'm a fan of Amish books, but the book wasn't focused on the Amish lifestyle/beliefs, as are many of Ms. Byler's books. This time the focus was on a boy and the dog that saved his life, on many different levels. Other than God's love for us, I believe that the love of a dog for 'his' special person, is the closest love that most people will find in life. No matter what, a dog will always love his master. Nothing his owner can do will ever change that deep, abiding love. I haven't said it very well, but the love of this Newfie dog for this boy, who grew into manhood, and the love of this boy for his dog, rivals many human relationships. I loved the book and have put it into my personal library. I enjoyed it tremendously.

The Christmas Promise
Again with this series, I loved this book! I read a lot, all sorts of books, but need some "soul" nourishment sometimes. I buy a book from this series when it comes out, before Christmas, and it sets the joyous season in motion. The characters are believable and we can jump right into their shoes. Sometimes we feel we are unique in our heartbreak and worry, but we can see by the writer's words that this is not so. Do you need some uplifting words? Read this book and the others in the series. They make wonderful gifts for birthdays and Christmas. They truly have been a blessing to me!

Great Shoe! Great Fit!
Dansko is the shoe for me! I have problem feet and have bought and worn a lot of shoes looking for something that would be comfortable. Well, I found Dansko to be what I was looking for. The toe box isn't small and yet the back of the shoe isn't wide and falling off my feet. I can't afford them brand new, but barely worn shoes like this are just right for me!
