AK Interactive AK 477 XTREME METAL Chrome Enamel Paint 30 ml

excellent, forgiving, metal-like finishes for airbrushing models

After having tried various paint brands for painting and airbrushing natural metal finishes on WW II model aircraft, I tried the AK interactive Xtreme paints, not without some reservations. I was finding that various problems arose with certain brand name paints -- either they were not entirely convincing in terms of metal-like finishes, and-or, they were fussy to apply and were too sensitive for masking and handling. I was very pleasantly surprised with the results I was able to achieve with the AK products. These paints are user friendly and as such are good for beginners or intermediate levels and at the same time, should satisfy the more experienced modellers. Airbrushing was smooth and easy to control and didn't cause 'blushing' or 'blooming' if too heavy a coat was applied (within reason of course). They are an enamel based paint and therefor do give off some odor, but they are much less noxious compared to some lacquers. To be sure good ventilation and face masks are a requisite. The Xtreme metal paints can be sprayed directly from the bottle and do not require thinning. The thinner and cleaner made expressly for this line of paints is also highly recommended -- clean up is a snap with this product. Finally, the Xtreme metal paints are not cheap, but the bottles are more generous than some competitors and dollar for dollar, I think they work out quite favorably.

A practical and easy way to extend the life of your printer, highly recommended

The external waste ink kit is an excellent purchase, easy to install and allows the continued use of a perfectly good printer that would have otherwise been allocated to the junk pile because of built in obsolecence. There's no need to have to resort to expensive service charges, especially in our case since we do not have easy or close access to a repair or service center. So far this product has only been in use for a couple weeks, but we have not encountered any problems.
