Good Recorder and easy to work with.
6 of 6 found this helpful I bought this Panasonic DMR-ES35VS DVD Record/VCR Combo in January 2007. It is easy to use and set up. The thumb wheel on the remote is a bit awkward in that it has outer buttons next to the wheel that can accidentally get pressed. It works well with wide screen TV's 16X9 (HDTV, like mine) without distortion as well as the old standard 4x3. Copying from DVD to VCR and VCR to DVD is very easy. You can pause the destination at any time to easily remove unwanted material. I am pleased with this unit.
If you have 2 Panasonic units (like I do) you will need to set the remotes to control the correct machine, otherwise, when you press "ON", "OFF", or other functions both machines react to the remote!
The timer works well but the unit does not have VCRPlus.

Product key would not let me change from Home to Pro.
1 of 1 found this helpful The product key could not be use to upgrade Windows 10 Home 64bit to Windows 10 Pro 64bit. I had to download Windows 10 Pro 64bit to burn a DVD. From there I had to do a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64bit. Of course, I could not save any of my files or data.
Once I did a clean install the product key worked to unlock this version. Probably not this vendors fault, but a MS Windows restriction.

Silent Hunter: Wolves of the Pacific
The graphics are supurb. However, the navigation, crew management, and maps were not up to the standards of the eariler Silent Hunter III which I also have.
I prefer the older version. I liked having control over repairs, crew management. The crew was much simplier in the older version with only enough crew for 2 shifts. Anyway, it still an interesting simulator. Just not the best.
