Lovely Music from an Amazing Voice!
I bought this recording because I have heard Dame Kiri sing some of these songs in recital and wanted more! Although small groups of these Songs of the Auvergne seem to be commonplace for top singers to perform, but to fully appreciate the depth of the music, one should hear entire sets together(these are Vol.2,sets 4&5) As usual, my favorite Dame Kiri te Kanawa is perfection! Her rich voice shows all of the nuances of this regional music. This is a must for anyone who has touched upon these in passing or who loves Dame Kiri!
