5 of 5 found this helpful What is lacking in your instructions is for the user to insure that the plug on the string of lights is plugged in (it's not polarized) so that the hot wire goes to the light filament and not the return wire. Since the beeper only works off of a static charge, if the plug is inverted the machine will NOT beep at any lights since the ground wire has no charge. If they are not aware of this they have a 50% chance of getting the device to work.
