Don't expect much; get what you expect.
0 of 1 found this helpful It's primarily a display adapter, not much of an accelerator. It at least supposrts newer API, like DX12 and Vulkan. Maybe it'd do slightly better on a different motherboard, mine (a Supermicro X9DRH-7F rev1.0.1.) seems to have some odd 'UEFI video mode' bug.

Not worth materials made from.
Minimum effort of manufacturing required to barely function. I'd look for a return if I didn't try modding it to work a little better already.

Probably the cheapest option that isn't garbage.
It's what I was hoping to get by buying an OEM large brand adapter; a passive adapter with proper signal level conversion (unlike some extremely cheap adapters). Uses a Parade brand PS8121E level shifter, and ESD protection/signal conditioning ICs for both connectors (again, unlike some extremely cheap adapters).
