portable fun with practical features
I have a few other pocket operators - this one does not disappoint.
If all you need is a simple portable drum machine, this works great. But adding the lead sounds and effects really takes this to another level.
You would be surprised at the range of sounds and styles you can get from this thing.
The ability to sync this with many midi and CV capable devices makes this a great machine.

inexpensive extra batteries
so far these batteries work great - the dual battery charger is small and works great as well

portable and practical drum machine
2 of 2 found this helpful This is a very easy-to-use drum machine, with a lot of features while being inexpensive.
It can sync to or from other Korg Volca machines, as well as other machines that produce or accept a CV pulse sync (such as Teenage Engineering Pocket Operators). It accepts a midi input, which could be neat if you want to control it with drum pads or other midi controller.
The sequencer and editing are very easy to understand. With some odd sounds such as an agogo and a lofi 'crash', and parameter settings that are extremely wide, this is also great for making more experimental-sounding beats.
