The mechanics of the molecat works flawlessly. It’s a hairpin tigger learned through experience (went off on me when the trigger barely touched the dirt) so anything touching the bag, it will surely fire. Not to worry, just a little ringing in the ears for me that’s all. However, although the molecat works perfectly, moles are pretty clever. We all know they push dirt around. Well that dirt also becomes their shield protecting them from the sound blast. These other reviewers with success must not have the dirt pushing moles like i have. And as far as blasting the moles so far back into the tunnel that you can’t find them, WRONG! The blast is not that strong. It can blast through the bag is about it, then the sound has to travel through the triangle trigger then the dirt, but the mole gets away. It’s a $100 disappointment, and sad too because I bought many other little things avoiding this because of the cost but thought it must work for costing some much, I WAS WRONG. You can avoid my mistake. Get a real CAT, problem SOLVED.
