This is not a replacement part.
I wanted to be able to lift my vehicle a little bit to allow for tire clearance. When I bought them, I thought I was buying adjustable shocks. These shocks start out 1 1/2" lower than stock and can be lowered three more inches. It has no higher adjustment.
I bought these, but was unable to begin installation for a few months. When I compared the front strut to the stock one it was very obvious that these will not work in my application.
The seller won't allow a refund because it was over 30 days. I asked for an exception but was denied. The suggested that I keep them for a "spare." The won't work for me today or in the future.
I searched for "replacement shocks. Maxpeedingrods came up. They were actually the fifth highest rated product. There was no mention that they were for lowering only.
This is not a replacement part. It should not be listed as fitting a Honda Element. Nobody in their right mind lowers an Element.
