Hydro Press Best French Coffee and Tea Maker with Patented Pressure Durable

Surprisingly good cup of coffee

I do like the unique plunger press style of the Mueller Hydro Press for rich tasting coffee every time. Each component is fairly well made despite it being made in China. Each use is limited to 16 oz. where as before the Hydro Press, I was use to perking 32 oz. Clean up is a bit different in that the plunger will not pull out of the carafe until the floating check-ball is dislodged from its resting position. I've found that turning the vessel upside down over the sink and shaking the carafe quickly loosens the check-ball. Once this happens, the plunger will vent naturally and will allow for the removal of the plunger from the carafe. This is best done over the sink as the left over coffee grounds will leak out. The carafe has two "fill" markings on the side but are difficult to read once the steaming water touches the carafe. No glass to break!! Lastly, I found letting the coffee steep for the 4 min duration makes a very fine cup of joe!
