Good value after minor issue corrections. Delivered fast and is more than I had expected
2 of 2 found this helpful Is it perfect? No, but it does come with Ethernet which was in the description but was not shown in the pictures and it has a motorized table height adjustment which beats a manual adjustment that can get tedious. Came with a rotary engraving attachment which I have not yet tried. Instead of telling you the obvious that are in many other reviews, I will tell you what was better than expected and info that may not be obvious, as well as what needed attention. So far the less than perfect issues have been minor and relatively inexpensive and easy to fix.
First, included parts: the 6 inch exhaust tubing appears to be much better than expected, unlike the cheap harder plastic ones I saw included with competitors. The water and air tubing also appears to be silicone and is better than led to believe by reviews. In low pressure applications like this, it should work just fine and is unlikely to fail. They were long enough for my arrangement. The included air pump seems adequate and has a rubber mounting base if you choose to mount via the base. I hung it using the compressor carry handle from under the machine so it is very quiet. I used the included exhaust fan which I think will be OK for a while though the cord seems undersized. My fan came with a foreign 220V plug versus a standard American 110V plug even though the fan motor was labeled as 110V, 60Hz. It did plug into the universal outlets included on the machine and ran fine but I wanted to power from a switched strip, so I cut off the plug and spliced in a 6 ft American standard replacement 14 ga cord and plug. The original cord appears to be 16 or 18 ga. I did not use the cooling pump and bought a CW-5000DG chiller unit instead. I want to maintain a constant 20 degrees C to extend laser tube life.
My unit came with a Ruida 6442S controller (S means it can support 2 laser heads, though I only have one. A 'G' would mean one head). I mounted a 30ma ammeter just above the controller display. I moved the stickers (they can be pulled up quite easily) to the far right to leave plenty of room for the meter. There was already a splice of the wire from the power supply to the laser tube near the power supply so I did not have to cut the wire, just separated and used the existing wire ends. So far I have not used higher than 70% power and that was about 16ma. I can easily cut through 1/4 inch ply at 70% power and 10mm/sec. If you are going to add an ammeter, I recommend you leave the plastic on the display until after the meter is installed and cover the display with masking tape before cutting and drilling. I forgot to cover it and have some marks on the display faceplate due to hot shavings.
Issues that I have corrected: Machine lid fit was not great but I managed to align fairly well by adjusting the lid hinges and slightly bending the lid lip in one spot for an incorrect weld angle on the lid beveled part. I also tightened and bent door latches to eliminate looseness. One of the table height adjustment switches broke almost immediately but they are cheap and easy to install so I replaced both of them with better quality switches. When I started up the cooling water the first time, the water line blew off the flow switch inside the exhaust box, an area you cannot see and does not have a drain. I heard the flow and stopped the chiller immediately. Had to pull the water/air connection panel and reattach the hose with a hose clamp and clean out the water. I drilled a 1/4 inch hole in the bottom of the exhaust box near the connections so I will know if a leak develops in this area. The control electronics area fan ran whenever the power cord was plugged in because it was wired to the hot side of the main power switch. I moved the fan power to the load side of the switch. The fan also blows out through a screen and pulls air into the area through unfiltered vents so I also flipped the fan around to pull air in through the screen and out through the vents. Not sure what their intent was with the grounding lug. The wire inside connects to the ground of the auxiliary outlets and the power supply cord so that is already grounded through the power supply ground connection. I could not find anywhere the ground wire was connected to the casing so I added a wire from the ground lug inside the casing to the casing and connected the ground lug to an additional ground to be sure the casing will not become electrified if something shorts.
Aligning the mirrors can be tricky. If the rails and mirrors are not mounted in perfectly parallel lines, getting alignment in the center of the mirrors in all laser head positions is impossible and aligning/shimming mirror mounts to achieve perfect alignment would be difficult. You'll likely have to compromise. I suggest best alignment in the positions you will use most often; for me that's the area near the home position.
Even with the minor problems above, I think it is a good purchase.

Pins too soft
These pins are too soft. Seriously bent after first use and after about one month, they are starting to neck down at the bend point indicating they will fail soon. I'm about 180 lbs so they are not being overstressed. Not sure if there are any better out there. Some manufacturer needs to slightly harden the pins so they don't bend under normal load.

Good to control TV and receiver as well as Cube functions with the one remote
Does what it is supposed to do. Nice that it has HDR now. I like that I can turn on and off the TV and receiver, and control the volume or mute it with the Cube's remote. That's all that is needed most days.
I don't like that it can interrupt the TV show if it thinks you said the wake word and it thinks it is supposed to show you something on screen. I have another Echo in the room so I just changed the Cube's wake word to 'Echo' and only use that if I want to control the TV or receiver volume using voice. I have an Echo Show in the room that I use for all other 'Alexa' uses. I rarely say anything that sounds like 'Echo' so I rarely have interruptions now.
