Poor storage
While the intake manifold was crack free---with out physical abuse marks it's storage procedural was very very poor----it had very heavy rust where water had sat in it for a long period of time--making it unusable until cleaned of debris---the amount of rust was so heavy that if it was bolted on and used that the heavy rust debris would have entered the engine damaging the piston--cylinder walls--rings--valves---it took approximately 16 days of slow tumbling with stones and abrasive to clean it up for use---half of the contaminated manifold was unreachable to have satisfactory results therefore the tumbling. This was very time consuming to rig up a system-monitor-clean and change abrasives while and doing the tumbling--I would of paid more for one in cleaner shape---the pix did no justice to what it actually was
