"Collected Poems of A. E. Housman"
I could say that the "content" was "compelling"....but I really don't know what it would be to have the content of a book "compel" me....? Compel me to what? Go buy an ice-cream cone? I'd like to be "compelled" by this, because my car's in the repair shop and it's a mile or so to walk in the blazing summer sun & heat, and my local "ice-cream shop" doesn't deliver.
I also don't know what or why I would "recommend it"? To/for/ whom and why? My cat doesn't read, the neighbors don't even speak to each other or me and I'm pretty sure they're illiterate.
Otherwise, it was a good book, as how could any book with Housman's
poems in it not be a "good" book (e.g. good for reading Housman's poetry, but by the same token not good for reading Shakespeare).

Keep the spear shutt'ling, Ox Boy!!
The traditional attribution of Shakespeare as an illiterate know-nothing was absurd. Oxford's background and previous published works makes it about 99.9 times more likely that he is the pseudo-named "spear-shaker".
