range burner element & receptacle compatability
compatibility is very important. manufacturers redesign their elements so they can make extra profit on replacement parts. there's insufficient info. online on compatibility. there're 2 different receptacles that claim compatibility but only 1 works. it depends which model element you're using. element compatability is even more confusing. sellers don't have the technical know how & g.e. don't support older models. they got a cutoff date. this works for models that are very old like in the 60's. sure you can get the matching part from the local appliace. they can order it for you but you'll pay through the nose.
