Media Center extender
XBOX 360 works great as an HD remote media extender. I took a chance on trying the XBOX to allow me to watch content from my Vista home premium computer in a different room. The struggle I was having was finding information that the box would stream HD content from my other computer. I currently have a 100Mbs connection from the computer in the other room. Through 2 switch hubs to the HDTV in the living room. The elite that I bought has a built in HDMI port that is connected to my HDTV. Once I had configured the extender connection settings I could see all of the recorded shows from the other room (In HD). If struggling between a second PC and an XBOX-360 I would recommend the X-BOX360. The newer ones run much cooler, the remote controls work out of the BOX, and the added bonus it also plays games!
