Good Stuff
1 of 1 found this helpful I have used this (and other) stay brite products for many years and have always been satisfied with the results. Most of my applications involve modeling such as model railroading where brass work may require the extra strength of a silver bearing solder. Here, a little goes a long way. I always use a small artists brush to apply the flux.

Use a serpentine belt
Belt is too light duty to be of much use, exept perhaps for an emergency. i have converted my lathe to use an automotive serpentine belt, which I purchased from rock auto for 16 bucks. The serpentine belt has NO stretch and grips far better than any leather belt I have used. The belt tracks as well or better than a leather belt, and no apparent slippage even when taking 1/8" cuts. Highly recommended over leather. Some disassembly required to install this type of belt, since there are no splices, but this is not a big deal.

A very useful product!
1 of 1 found this helpful Naptha is a very useful product. Just the thing for removing adhesive residue from plastic surfaces, because it is a mildly aggressive solvent, about twice as strong as, say, mineral spirits. For HO scale model painting, it will remove fresh overspray without disturbing older underlying painted surfaces. Also used as lighter fluid in the old zippo type lighters. Very useful for degreasing plastic parts. I use it for cleaning the track on my HO scale model railroad, and have done so since I was a kid.
