Lego Technic is challenging, intellectually rewarding and just plain fun to build and play with

I love Lego Technic sets. These can be built into objects that can be played with or operated, but what makes is their intricate detailed designs, which make these sets extremely challenging, intellectually rewarding, and just plain fun to build. I especially enjoy the really large complex sets with more than 3000 pieces.

Polar lights Seaview sub model is a well made fun to build model kit

This is the model kit of a submarine featured in a TV show I used to watch as a child called Voyage to the Bottom of the sea. I was a big fan of the futuristic look and shape of the vessel. I just like looking at it. So I plan to build this model and display it. This an injection molded kit. I believe it is made from styrene. The parts come attached to sprues, but the parts are all molded in black plastic. The instructions are sparse but with clear graphics. It is best to glue some parts on to the hull sections first. Then paint them with a good quality white paint. Be sure to mask off the mating edges to promote a better bond when gluing the sections together. This model is small, but pleasing to the eye when built up and displayed.

Mamiya RB67 Review

This was the camera I used back when I was the school photographer for my High School back in 1976. I originally wanted a Hasselblad 500CM, but they were too expensive for me. So I settled on the Mamiya RB67 and I was so glad I did. This camera shoots a bigger frame size (6 x 7) cm. The film back rotates 90 degrees, and the photos I took with this camera were of incredibly high quality. The sharpness and detail in the 11 x 14 prints I made was eye popping. I want to try and get this adapteed to use a digital film back and this will become my main camera once again. This will take you to the web site for my class reunion. On the home page you will see a picture of me when I was 17 years old holding this camera. I loved this camera, and I am glad to own one again.
