A post World War II classic
1 of 1 found this helpful A portrait of Post World WarII years for three returning vets. The first of it's kind to tell the challenges of veterans picking up there lives after the horrors of war. A star studded cast for it's time and a perfect casting chose in "Harold Russell", a real World War II Veteran, who had lost both his hands. Though not an actor he gave an outstanding performance in the scene: where he is showing his fiance what his disability would really be like to live with, the most poinient and unforgettable of the movie. The only one of that era to compare is: Marlon Brando in "The Men". A must have classic of veterans in the aftermath of WWII.
