World War II Navy Destroyer Patch (USS Sigourney)
After searching the internet on behalf of my wife for a patch of the ship on which her father served during WWII, I located this patch which I purchased. It is of good quality, colorful and detailed. The 3-star rating is only because of its large size (which was accurately listed as 5"). I wish it was offered in a smaller size (no larger than 3") that would be more suitable for sewing on a jacket.

Don't Waste Your Money
Between 1950 and 1969, I grew up in Detroit where Ty Cobb was a legend. His name (with no uniform number) is on the outfield wall along where the names and numbers of other Tigers players are displayed, with their numbers being retired. I was expecting this movie to show highlights of his baseball career which led to him being the highest voter-getter in the original Cooperstown Hall of Fame class inducted. Instead, there was very little baseball in the movie and it showed him during his retirement life around age 71. It depicts him as a crass, foul-mouthed individual with no redeeming qualities, who uses a revolver to shoot cockroaches off of walls in hotel rooms. The language was so bad that my wife and daughter-in-law left the movie room at our house. I only watched it until the end because I had hopes that the movie would change direction in a positive manner. It didn't. Extremely disappointing and a waste of Tommy Lee Jones' talent. Don't waste your money on this dvd.

From American Revolution to Life in England
The series develops over five seasons. We have watched the first four seasons and have the fifth season on order. It is very well acted and the characters are complex individuals. I enjoyed the way the story begins in America near the end of the American Revolution and then transitions to England. There are unexpected twists and turns in many subplots throughout the story. The fourth season was purchased on EBay as a pre-owned DVD set, and one of the episodes had three short "skips" (probably due to careless use and a scratch on the disc by the original owner). That's the only reason I gave a "4" rating instead of a 5.
