Savage 2437
Stable flight on a D12-0 booster with C6-7 2nd stage. It will achieve the rated 1600' however the descent rate under the chute is slow so must be it used in almost zero wind. A surface wind of a few knots will usually mean a 10kt wind at apogee which is 5m/sec. With a descent taking several minutes the drift could mean nearly a kilometer away at touchdown. Consider putting slots or holes in the chute to reduce descent time. It is well made and a top performer.

Just buy it.
Purchased two reels at the same time, this Penn and a Diawa AIRD 3000C. The Diawa was 60% more expensive. The Penn carries near twice the line length, has a rigid alloy body and feels solid. Long term use ???

Diawa AIRD 3000C v Penn Fierce IV
Purchased 2 reels in the 3000 size at the same time, sight unseen online, the Diawa AIRD 3000C and the Penn Fierce IV. Nothing wrong with the Diawa at all, perhaps a little light on the bail wire but appears a fine reel.
However when viewed against the Penn Fierce IV the Penn beats it by a good margin.
The Penn is a solid alloy body and inflexible, the Diawa is plastic and will flex, maybe a little flex is good when you step on it??
The Penn has near twice the line capacity, and has an overall feel of being solid compared to the Diawa.
The real kicker is the Penn was $75 AUD and the Diawa $120 AUD, really the price should have been the other way around.
