Broadway is Broadway, The motion picture just kicked it up a notch......
1 of 1 found this helpful We bought both the Motion picture and the Broadway original. We never saw the Broadway show and the ambiance that comes from a live performance is beyond description. The recordings however do give a big edge to the motion picture. Several are superior I guess primarilly due to picking really great talent as well as recording advantages and being able to do it over till you get it right. Broadway is far more demanding. I remember the first Broadway show my wife and I went to see back in the forties with Ethel Merman. Nuff said. You learn to love live performances as it takes really great, fabulous entertainers to make it really come together. We enjoyed this very much. The Motion picture DVD and CD are superb. We enjoyed Catherine Zeta Jones tremendously as her magnificent expressive performance and fabulous voice topped off with truly superb dancing really did credit to Mr Great, Bob Fosse. He never ceases to amaze us. He is consistantly something else. Queen La Tifah truly very pleasantly surprised us with a magnificent performace as did Richard Gere who, to be quite frank surprised us. The entire cast really must have had one ball performing in this mangificent production. Why is it all these beautifully talented people in Hollywood are able to sing and dance as well as act? Gere really gave a great performance. If you haven't, please do see it, you'll love it.

Horrible small knife for small children's hands not adults.
I have large hands and could'nt fit my finger through the hole. The head does not swivel like the larger moldel does. A waste of money. The write up shows you virtuall no information as to size, dimensions etc.

A disappointment of one of my favorite artists of some of my favorite tunes
0 of 1 found this helpful This CD contains virtually all live performances that come no way near the quality of the originals. I truly love Ole Satchmo. None of these performances do him justice. When you hear the original recording of What A Wonderful World. It is one of the all-time greats. I bought this CD for three songs which are special to me. All three versions contained here in are clunkers. The recording on this CD is lack luster and far from the original in quality and content. Some live performances like many of Frank Sinatra often surpass the original. All of these on this CD should have been left on the cutting room floor, Next time I will make certain to identify which cuts are contained in the CD, LP. I would truly feel embarrassed to even think of giving this CD to a friend. The CD went in the garbage. I SAVED THE PLASTIC CASE as it was the only part of this purchase that was of any value.
