Should be good enough?
5 of 5 found this helpful I've only had this a few days. I will try to keep this review updated as I go. Initially, I'm a little disappointed that mine didn't come with a rotary knob as it is in the pictures. I should be able to wire a potentiometer to do the same thing once it's all set up, but that would have been nice to have. After looking closer, some of the picture don't have the knob in it. I have no idea what that means for anyone else getting this.
The manual feels a little lacking. I was hoping for more detailed installation instructions as I've seen other's have on higher end VFD's. I'll be using this to run a large metal lathe. I have yet to connect it to power, but everything looks to be in order. I was hoping to have specific installation information like, how large of a breaker works best, if a fast acting fuse is needed, rf filter, anything like that. I get they can't recommend information for every country, but I was still hoping. I emailed the seller(they emailed back within 2 days so that's a big positive), and they basically said what the manual mentions. Connect 220v single phase to the 2 terminals mentioned in the manual, and wire the motor to the output terminals. We will see. running this much power has me a little skeptical, but I will figure it out. Again, I will try to come back and update once I've got it running. I don't yet know if I recommend it or anything else. It's definitely the cheapest option for converting this much power.
