Good not Great
1 of 1 found this helpful This book has lots of info and is worth the read if only for the spice blends and the beautiful glossy photos in the middle. Sadly the illustrations, mentioned on the back cover, should have been of some of the techniques instead of pictures of herbs that can be found in any book on herbs. And while I didn't count all of the recipes to see if there were more than 150, whole sections of this book use recipes do not require a tagine at all. So the title: 150 best tagine recipes seems a bit of a misnomer.
Also, some of the info is unnecessarily complicated (simple Preserved Lemons would have benefited from an illustration) or just plain wrong (Aioli using 3 whole eggs instead of just the yokes) and this is just at a glance.
And I know that this is a cookbook about tagine cooking but since it takes up to 6 weeks to preserve lemons and all of the spice blends are from scratch, why not throw in a recipe for Feta cheese which is complete in approx. 4 days. I do realize that it's easier to buy Feta but then that can be said for most of the ingredients if you have a middle eastern market in your town.
With all that being said it's a good book at a bargain price (under $13 shipped) but instead of just needing this book I will still need to purchase Cooking at the Kasbah to round out the missing/conflicting bits.

Ladies, a little padding helps a lot
I bought this & the harness because I really didn’t think this would work as well as it did. At this point the other one is my spare or loaner because I love this one & I couldn’t beat the price (both for less than the 1 harness at Scheels) It’s comfortable, attaches to your bra strap, it isn’t obvious you’re wearing it & (most importantly) it works! If you’re a newbie or using something with an uncomfortable amount of recoil, save yourself the pain & get this.
