I like it but not for everyone I’m sure
Early days yet for a reliability review but so far a useable strimmer .
Negatives:
balance is poor but useable
No blade option
Guard is too big and angular compared to my Kawasaki and other strimmers I’ve used and combined with the nose heavy balance snags too easily making smooth passes harder.
Motor is in the head with vent holes that clog with wet grass quickly .
Bump Head doesn’t seem overly robust
Positives :
a great hassle free way to tidy a lawn, compact when folded so goes in the car easily
Quiet and powerful enough to do most grass and small weeds
5Ah modular battery is reliable and fits other Dewalt tools and vice versa they are £50 on their own.
I like it …no stale fuel ,no broken pull start, no carb strip down, no premix no exhaust fumes and apart from the head noise nice and quiet .
Whilst not a strimmer for really heavy duty work ( I’ll be keeping my Kawasaki) it’s a great tool for the everyday garden, simple to use and the variable speed trigger is just the job for the gentler areas.
Mine came with a free drill which is great value at this price point.
I use solar to charge the battery so great for a remote plot.

Great value ,built like a tank accurate focus and very familiar to anyone who had used an EOS before. Wanted one for years it doesn’t disappoint. A credit to its previous owner, still looks like new.
Only gripe is some of the technology is now outdated , finally found a use for that old xp laptop. ISO is limited compared to a more modern version.
...the price compared to Initial RRP is incredible for what you do get.
But SD card is still well supported and grabbing photos to your iOS mobile is easy with a cheap lightning SD card adaptor, even in Raw , which surprised me.
For me I prefer the heavy body compared to a lightweight plastic body,
I find there is less camera shake.
If you are undecided , you can always sell again as there is little depreciation from this price point.

Quiet running fan
These seem great value although no long term test.
Bought fan for van ventilation, runs very quietly on 12v… manufacturer may not recommend but also runs down to 5v …tested at that voltage for many hours with no apparent Negative effects, and is completely silent at that voltage drawing only a fraction of an amp. Great for gentle ventilation.
