Perfect upgrade for an 8470p, this is absolute power
First of all don't listen to those bias people telling you upgrading a laptop CPU is useless (just of course research first for compatibility), this processor is a complete different level, I first tested on a CPU intensive scenario where my old i5 did not perform well, this over killed it, temperatures were around 48-51 idle, 55 on daily usage and 70 on heavy jobs, it did reach 95 thought but using a very heavy game for the machine (probably using an external gpu will solve this issue as it was using the Intel hd graphics) but never throttled or lost performance, it boots my 8470p much faster, all apps open faster, and feels more fluid, it really is worth the upgrade, I encourage it as an option if you don't want to replace your machine yet
