LG LP0817WSR - 8,000 BTU 110V Portable A/C: Remote & Window Vent Kit Included

Nice machine, smaller and quieter than expected.

Quieter than expected. Appears to have same energy consumption rating as smaller 5000 btu models but provides 8000 btu. Smaller than expected (I plan to store ours behind a wing chair in the corner when not in use). Rolls well on solid surfaces with non-scratching wheels. These models do need to be drained by removing drain plugs and tipping unit slightly but the water is minimal after a full days use on a fairly hot and humid day. The draining process may require disconnecting the exhaust hose from the window or from the unit which is fairly easy.
