The Best 57 Vette kit out there !
The Goodies in this kit are to die for. Similar to "Dirty Donny's '70 Super Bee" (Coronet) One of those model car kits you are glad that you didn't pass up on. Mine is to be a gift to my Lawyer. It will be from my 50 car collection. it will have injector, blower, headers, and a100% Chevy Rat; 454 Motor. I have not put wheels with the kit yet, as I have to go thru my Kitbashing parts bin and find some. They will likely be 'Weld' "Drag Lites", if Mild; a Gasser combo if Wild. But I do not think I am going to go the Roadster route with this one, like I did with my last '57 Vette kit. I think I will not add the Slicks, and/or Tubs. Too much work for a classic chassis. It will have street treads/Big n' Littles. But it is just a street ride. It will be the kind of Classic Corvette you would see at a Carshow. It will be Red and White, though, like the last one. Lets see, that was... 1978 I believe, I remember because that one was a Father's Day Gift. (Yeah, my Dad owned a Mustang at one point. Us kids called it the "Green Grenade", because it was Explosive !!!) I made the vette for him because he passed up the chance to get a real Corvette, right off the lot, in 1957 !! This Kit, and the Seller get 5 Stars from me !!!

Rare find from the 1970's.
Back when funny cars were Chevy Vegas, and the likes of Dyno Don and Grumpy Jenkins were ruling the New Pro Stock class in Drag Racing, kits like these were "Wicked". What was cool about this kit was the "Gasser" type chassis, the tilt front end, The blown motor and the scoop. for a Street Ride, it was great if you were into trucks back in the day of the van.
Now-a-days, the small-block is weak, the "Gasser" front end (NHRA outlawed Nitromenthane for a few years. the drag racers used Hi-Octane Gasoline instead.) is out in favor of a "Pro-Street" (Pro-Stock inspired street machine) Chassis. a Current Pro-Mod Engine-a 600 inch big-block Chevy with a "Blanket" blower and a Carbon-Fiber blower scoop-is the rage!! Also, the tires/wheels, while good in the day, are limp in 2016. Good thing I kit-bash. This project will receive Turbine wheels, and Firestone street "Meats" -21 inch treads. Those go on all my street kits and I have 25 total. Over half are Pro-Mod. This will be a new category of model car hot-rod that I have invented as a result: "Street-Mod"
This model truck will be an Advertising Dream for my friend in Grand Junction, Colorado. He owns a BBQ Outfit, so I thought a TAILGATING Pro-Mod Delivery truck would be a Marketing Coup at Denver Bronko Games !!! Ciao.
