Pleasant selection of instrumental works by this early 20th Century American composer.
Part of the NAXOS series of American composers. Tracks include Cadman's Piano Trio in D, Sonata in G For Violin and Piano, Quintet in G minor for Piano and Strings, The Legend of the Canyon, and what probably remains his most well known work today, From the Land of Sky-Blue Water.

60 Minutes of Schumann Lieder in 32 Tracks
Baritone Thomas Hampson recorded the Heine Liederkreis Opus 24, Der Arme Peter Opus 53, and the 20 Lieder in 1994 in a clear, mature voice. Wonderful listening! Excellent Notes pamphlet includes German text of each song with an English translation.

As close as you can get to the real performance.
Listening to the 32 tracks by the original Broadway cast recorded in May 1968, a good deal of the energy and shock value (even 50+ years later) of the first run play comes through. The 21 page album booklet includes a complete description of the stage action from cast member Lorrie (Mary) Davis' excellent 1973 book "Letting Down My Hair". The movie version tries, but this is the real thing.
